L. George Rieger JD, CIC
Managing Director

Greenwich Investment Management entered a period of rapid expansion when L. George Rieger joined GIM on December 31, 2006 as Managing Director and Executive Committee Member. George has a long and distinguished career with more than 46 years of experience in the financial community. Following graduation from Yale Law School, George accepted a position at T. Rowe Price
& Associates LLC where he became an officer and stockholder. In 1984, George founded RRH Capital Management, Inc. At RRH he established the firm’s record in the management of high yield tax- exempt bonds and high yield equities. In 2003, George was a founding member of Hamlin Capital Management, Inc. George’s legal education has proven extremely valuable in structuring municipal bond issues.

Peter L‘H. Courtney
Managing Director

Peter brings over 25 years combined experience in investing and operations management. As President of GIM, Peter identifies and negotiates fixed income transactions and manages client portfolios. He is responsible for business development, general management needs and the overall business performance of the firm. Prior to GIM, Peter was President of Courtney Capital Management, LLC, from 2005 through 2007. In addition, he was a portfolio manager and marketer with RRH Capital Management in New York City from 1999 through 2003. Peter began his career in finance while still in college working summers for two different venture capital firms in Pittsburgh, PA and Stamford, CT. After college, he marketed financial and insurance products through The Prudential. Later, he gained extensive operational and marketing experience co-managing and acting as senior trader for Steelmet, Inc. in Chicago, for six years. While working toward an MBA in finance, Peter was a research analyst for Oppenheimer Capital and a research consultant for the Courtney Group Inc., a mergers and acquisitions firm.

Drew J. Collins, CFA
Managing Director

Drew is a Managing Director, portfolio manager, and head of institutional client relationships for Greenwich Investment Management. Drew also serves as director of equity research for the firm. Prior to joining GIM, Drew ran his own firm for four and a half years. Prior to that he was head of international active equity investments for TIAA-CREF, co-manager of the Stock Account and lead manager of the Global Equities Account for the firm. Drew was also the co-founder of Federated Global Investment Management, a wholly owned subsidiary of Federated Investors, one of the largest mutual fund companies in the country.

Brian Alexitch
Director Transaction Unit

Brian joined Greenwich Investment Management in March of 2010 and is responsible for all transaction-related activity as directed by the firm’s Equity Unit, Fixed Income Unit and Portfolio Management Unit. As the Associate Director of the Equity Unit, Brian conducts research and makes recommendations on GIM’s common stock holdings. From 2007 to 2009, Brian was an Investment Management Consultant with FactSet Research Systems. Brian provided value-added advice and support to clients at hedge funds, mutual funds, private wealth advisors, quantitative asset managers, and alternative asset managers throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. Previously, Brian worked as an intern at T. Rowe Price Associates in Baltimore, MD, supporting institutional portfolio managers and groups within the Investment Operations Department. He holds two B.S. degrees from the University of Delaware with majors in Finance and Marketing. He is a CAIA charter holder and a member of the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Association.

Dan Laflamme, CFA
Director of Fixed Income Analysis

Dan joined GIM in August of 2012 upon graduating from McGill University with a major in Economics and a minor in Finance. Previously, Dan worked as a summer intern for Conning & Company, an insurance research, advisory and asset management firm.
